He has raised up for us a mighty saviour *
in the house of David his servant,
as he promised by the lips of holy men, *
those who were his prophets from of old.
A saviour who would free us from our foes, *

God is the crown of all his saints. Let us therefore pray to him:

O God, source of all holiness, the glory of your gift shines out in all your saints
- we glorify you for the riches of your grace revealed in them.【R】
Father, you moved your saints to follow Christ your Son
- move us to follow in their steps and to journey in hope towards the Lord of life.【R】
Heavenly King, you draw us to our true homeland through those who gave their lives for Christ
- may we learn from them the sure path of life.【R】

Almighty and ever-living God, you were pleased to make your Church illustrious through the varied splendour of the Saints of the Seraphic Order. As we venerate their memory in one festival may we also follow such shining examples of virtues on earth and thus obtain merited crowns in heaven: we ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
